PSA NITROGEN GAS PLANTS

PSA Nitrogen Gas Plants

The PSA Nitrogen generation plant operates on the PSA process, utilizing two adsorbers filled with carbon molecular sieves (CMS). These sieves possess the unique ability to absorb oxygen from compressed air. The process involves passing compressed and purified air through the absorbers, where oxygen is primarily absorbed by the carbon molecular sieves due to their preferential adsorption properties, targeting moisture first. As a result, a nitrogen-enriched gas exits the absorber, achieving the desired oxygen concentration levels. The system allows for a significant reduction in oxygen concentration, meeting various required levels. While one adsorber undergoes the adsorption phase, the second adsorber is simultaneously regenerated through a simple depressurization to ambient pressure. The oxygen-enriched off gas is then vented. The switch between adsorbers occurs seamlessly, with the process controller transitioning to the second adsorber after approximately one minute of adsorption in the first. This enables the continuous production of nitrogen, ensuring a steady supply of the desired gas.

APPLICATIONS

Our PSA Nitrogen Gas Generators Are Widely Used Across Many Industries Including:

Tyre filling (Automotive, Aircrafts, Dumpers, Mine Trucks)

Inflating rubber tires with nitrogen significantly extends tire lifespan by reducing oxidation and minimizing leakage, resulting in more stable pressure maintenance.

Fuel Tank Inerting (Petrochemical Complexes, Chemical Factories, Aircrafts)

The presence of air in fuel tank headspace can lead to the formation of a flammable mixture, and the flammability risk can be mitigated by purging and filling fuel tanks with nitrogen.

Autoclaves and Furnaces

Utilizing nitrogen in autoclaves and furnaces can lower the risk of flammability and combustion.

Blanketing for many industries (adhesives, pesticides, agro, pharmaceuticals)

Nitrogen gas is ideal for applications demanding minimal oxygen presence or an inert atmosphere.

Fire prevention (coal mines, mines)

The presence of air in fuel tank headspace can lead to the formation of a flammable mixture, and the flammability risk can be mitigated by purging and filling fuel tanks with nitrogen.

Oil & Gas and Petrochemicals (Pigging, Blanketing, Headspace filling, Pipeline drying)

The safe handling of volatile chemicals and petrochemicals necessitates the presence of nitrogen to ensure the secure management of process gases or liquids throughout different stages of handling.

Laboratories (LCMS, Turbo Vap, GC, GCMS)

Large laboratories with a centralized gas supply system experience continuous gas availability through the use of on-site generators for nitrogen and hydrogen.

Offshore Platforms & FPSOs

Nitrogen is indispensable for fire prevention when dealing with highly flammable crudes and volatile gases due to their handling requirements.

Oil cargo ships and oil tankers

The storage and transportation of oil and crude substances entail risks, necessitating the use of nitrogen to establish a fire-safe environment.
